Veg’extra History

_1997
With a long experience in the food industry, Lionel Fleutry decides to set up his own business. He creates Veg’Extra in Montreuil-Bellay. Relying on his professional network, he initially positioned himself in the food industry, particularly with carrot and onion concentrates.
_2000
In order to increase the added value, Veg’Extra will specialize in plant extraction and diversify its customer base by becoming a service provider for cosmetic and food supplement brands.
_2005
First extension of the production site, which now covers 1500 square meters, in the industrial zone of Méron, south of Montreuil-Bellay (in Maine-et-Loire).
_2013
Veg’Extra obtains ISO 9001 certification for all its activities. A recognition for the SME of its efforts in quality management.
_2015
After three years of working in tandem, Lionel Fleutry hands over to his son Laurent, a graduate of the National School of Agronomy in Rennes. Veg’Extra remains independent and the family company can continue its history.
_2018
Fire on the night of July 21-22 in the ATEX workshop. Thanks to the support of other industry players, Veg’Extra continues to deliver while keeping orders confidential.
_2020
Restart of production at the historical site. During the health crisis, Veg’Extra produces hydroalcoholic solution for pharmacies, colleges, high schools, hospitals, in the Saumur region and beyond.
